Sen. Udall questions visa program
DENVER (AP) – U.S. Sen. Mark Udall is asking Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to end misuse of a visa program that has placed more than 350,000 foreign workers in U.S. jobs.
The visa program was created to promote cultural and educational exchange to enhance diplomatic ties abroad.
According to the Denver Post, Colorado leads the nation in numbers of foreign students working on visas that bring foreign college students to America to fill seasonal jobs for four-month periods, jobs that critics say could be filled by U.S. workers.
