Sheriff: Man after pot, burglarizes Arapahoe County dispensary

DENVER (AP) – A 50-year-old man has been charged with burglarizing a marijuana dispensary in search of pot.

Robert Cordova of Lakewood was arrested around 2:30 a.m. Saturday at the dispensary Herbal Options in Arapahoe County.

Sheriff Grayson Robinson says he is being held for investigation of felony burglary of a controlled substance and misdemeanor criminal mischief.

Robinson says several marijuana businesses in Arapahoe County have been burglarized or robbed the past eight months as the dispensaries have proliferated.

He says the county passed a moratorium until June hoping that the Colorado Legislature will give more guidance on the regulation of the stores.
