Shining Stars Toy Drive continues until Dec. 19

Special to the Sky-HI News

Holidays are almost here, and the Shining Stars Foundation is having its fifth annual Toy Drive for the Shining Stars and their siblings ages 2-20 from Nov. 17 to Dec. 19.

A child diagnosed with cancer or a life-threatening disease takes a toll on the entire family both financially and emotionally. Help us give these deserving children a Merry Christmas.

Suggestions for gifts include gift cards, books, art supplies and crafts items, games, toys, dolls, action figures, legos, remote controlled toys, video games for Wii or XBox 360, XBox 1,  or Nintendo DS, newly released and Disney DVDs, and sports equipment.

Please don’t wrap gifts because the children are permitted to choose what they want. Drop off locations are at the following businesses:

• A La Mode in Granby

• B. Jammin’ in Winter Park

• Bank of the West in Fraser

• Breeze at Ski Depot Sports in Winter Park

• Centennial  Bank in Fraser

• East Grand Middle School in Granby

• Elevate Pilates in Winter Park

• Shining Stars Foundation office in Tabernash

All of the donations from the Toy Drive will go to the Shining Stars children and their siblings. About 95 percent of every dollar spent goes directly to fund the children’s programs at the Shining Stars Foundation.  To learn more please visit http://www.shiningstarsfoundation.org.
