Sitzmark South update in Winter Park

At the Tuesday, May 17 meeting at Winter Park Town Hall, the town council discussed plans for phase I of the Sitzmark South retail and housing project.

The building will be constructed at the southeast intersection of Telemark Drive and US Highway 40. The parcel of land is about 6.2 acres with phase I involving 4.1 acres. The purpose is to construct a “vibrant mixed use center” including commercial retail and residential land uses. The land will include pedestrian oriented streets, a plaza, and common open space areas. Phase I includes about 31,172 square feet of commercial retail, 19,000 sqft of which will be a grocery market, and three multifamily residential buildings totaling 42 units. A two-story parking garage will be built in the center of the property and on-street parking will be available along Baker St.
