Smoke visible in Grand County from Eagle County fires

Smoke reports started coming in to Grand County dispatch around 3:25 p.m. today in the direction of the Gore Range. From the town of Kremmling, two columns of smoke were visible over a ridge southwest of town. Kremmling Fire Department, along with Eagle County and Summit counties were notified.

According to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, there are multiple agencies fighting a fire in the Wolcott area. Crews are also currently on the scene of a wildland fire in the vicinity of the Minturn gun range.

Smoke may be visible from these fires, but there are no fires in Grand County at this time.
