It’s been a dry, warm late October in Grand County, but snow is in the forecast this week. The National Weather Service of Denver/Boulder has predictions for a wet, cold week.

Beginning tonight after 5 a.m., snow is likely to fall in Kremmling. There may also been snow flurries in Granby and Winter Park tonight.

“This storm will likely favor Rabbit Ears Pass and areas along the western half of the county,” wrote Grand County Weather on its Facebook page. “Areas like Kremmling could see a higher chance of accumulating snow than places like Fraser!”

On Tuesday morning and afternoon, rain will fall throughout Grand County. On Tuesday night, several areas in Grand County may see some snow, including Kremmling and Winter Park. This could create difficult travel conditions on Rabbit Ears Pass.

The snow is expected to continue through Wednesday. There is a 40% chance of snow Wednesday night, then the snow will taper off to a sunny Thursday.
