Source of salmonella in Grand County case unknown
Sky-Hi Daily News
The salmonella case in Grand County is still under investigation, and public health officials say they will not know more until later this week.
“There is no confirmation where the salmonella came from,” said Grand County Public Health Director Brene Belew-LaDue.
Last week, the victim’s mother reported that it could have come from a Grand County restaurant, but Belew-LaDue stressed that deduction is unsubstantiated.
“Stating that it came from a restaurant is an assumption,” she said. “There are many other possibilities that could cause this illness. Again the source of this illness is not known.”
