As tourism season heats up, Grand County’s roads are getting busier. This sometimes brings an increase in speeding.
On June 1, a sergeant with the Grand County Sheriff’s Office clocked a speeding motorcyclist on radar going 140 mph in a 65 mph zone. This incident happened on U.S. Highway 40 near mile post 224, known as the Fraser Flats.
According to the sheriff’s office, the motorcyclist was arrested and transported to the Grand County jail where he was booked in on related charges.
