Prep sports recap: West Grand remains undefeated following 60-14 game against Plateau Valley

West Grand Senior Luis Dominguez continued his strong showing on the field during the game Friday against Plateau Valley.

VARSITY FOOTBALL:

The Middle Park Panthers now stand at a 2-1 season record following their 27-20 victory Friday against Steamboat Springs.

Ben Kuhnel, a Middle Park senior, scored the most points of the evening hosted by Steamboat with 18, including three touchdowns.

The Panthers will put it on the line next when they host The Academy for a battle on Friday, Sept. 21. Middle Park will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 26-19 loss to D'Evelyn of Denver. The Wildcats's record now stands at 2-1.

The West Grand Mustangs remain undefeated so far on their season, powering through the Plateau Valley Cowboys on Friday, 60-14.

Senior Luis Dominguez continued his strong showing on the field during the game, scoring the most points of the night with 30, including five touchdowns.

With the triumph, West Grand improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign.

The Mustangs next travel to Vail Christian in Edwards to battle the Saints on Friday, Sept. 21. The Saints come into the test with a record of 2-1. Vail Christian lost 46-22 in their recent league test against Rangely.
