Calendar: Programs offered by the Granby Recreation Department
Here are some of the activities organized by the Granby Recreation Department:Sporties for Shorties preschool sports campSporties for Shorties is a sports camp just for pre-schoolers. They will learn about two new sports each week. This program will take place at the Granby Indoor Soccer Dome from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesdays: March 4, 11, 18 and 25. Classes are for children ages 3 to 5. The cost is $25 per child for the four week session.For more information or to register call the Granby Rec. Department at (970) 887-3961. Pre-registration is required by Wednesday, Feb. 25. Granbys Adult Dodgeball League to begin March 10Granbys Adult Dodgeball League will be held at the East Grand Middle School from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesdays from March 10 through April 21, with no games on April 7. Co-ed teams consist of a minimum of six players, with at least two female players. All players must be at least 16 years old.League fees are $150 per team. Team pre-registration is required by Monday, March 2, and spots are limited. For more information or to register call the Granby Recreation Department at (970) 887-3961.Granbys Adult 5v5 Flag Football Begins March 19Granby Recreation Department is taking registrations for the spring flag football league. Games will take place at the Granby Indoor Soccer Complex from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Thursday nights starting March 19 to May 7, with no games on April 2 and 9.An organizational meeting is at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12 at the Granby Indoor Soccer Complex. The cost for the league is $175/team and teams consist of at least five players. Players must be at least 16 years of age. Teams must pre-register by Thursday, March 12, and spots are limited. For more information or to register contact John at the Granby Recreation Department, 887-3293.Granby Recreation Department Friday Day Camp ActivitiesThe Granby Recreation Department is planning some youth trips this winter and spring. Upcoming activities include: Silverthorne Recreation Center on Friday, Feb. 27; and Fraser Tubing Hill & YMCA on Friday, March 6. Unless otherwise stated, all trips are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and meet at the Granby Community Building. Cost is $30 per person, or $27 for multi-child families.
