Cindy Kleh of Granby placed first in five events – Slopestyle, Boardercross, Slalom, Giant Slalom and Superpipe – at the 2011 USASA National Championships at Copper Mountain earlier this month. In addition to five national titles, Kleh won first overall for her age group, 50-59. Kleh writes, “I would like to thank my sponsors for helping me through the 2011 snowboarding season. Energy By Science helped me recover from bad falls on boxes and rails. (Why can’t I stay away from those dang things?); Powder Tools gave me expert advice, tunes and the best customer service of any snowboard shop around; Winter Park Resort offered me invaluable race coaching clinics from the Winter Park Ski & Snowboard School during the Nastar week here; Jacques and Jacqueline Thomas of Le Feet Lab in Winter Park helped me solve my boot problems and foot pain once and for all; and Snowberry Hill Bed and Breakfast in Dillon provided housing close to Copper during this seven-day competition marathon. It was an incredible week and I couldn’t have done it without your help.”
