The 2015 Colorado Freeride Festival kicks off Thursday, July 23 at Trestle Bike Park. Want to be there for all the big moments? Here’s a list of some of the weekend’s best bets.

July 23

Air Downhill – This event tests each rider’s ability to command Trestle’s premier jump trail, Rainmaker. The race will take place on the lower half of Rainmaker. Spectators can view the race from the start or along the course.

July 24

New Belgium Super Downhill – This single-stage Enduro race will see riders charge from the top of Trestle to the base. The best views of the race will be along the course, which requires lift access, and at the finish area.

Green Horn-it! Challenge – Watch junior racers tear up Trestle’s newest trail, Green Horn-it! This race doesn’t require a lift ticket.

July 25

Maxxis Slopestyle Finals – Some of the biggest names in slope style will go head to head for their cut of $25,000. The single-line course features drops, jumps, elevated wall rides and elevated stunts. Bring something to sit on.

Epic Singletrack XC – Time for a little homegrown cross-country riding. This race starts at the west end of the Fraser Valley and makes its way back to the festival on some of Grand County’s finest trails.

Intergalactic Pond Crossing Championships – Watch costumed athletes race across a narrow floating track in Winter Park’s Village Pond. The popular event is sure to make a splash.

July 26

Colorado State Championships Downhill – This officially sanctioned race will bring some of the USA’s finest downhill riders together to decide who’s the fastest in the state. Spectators can watch from the start of the courses, on the course, which requires bike and hike-in access, or at the finish in the Festivillage.

Of course, these are just a few of the many events taking place at Trestle Bike Park this weekend. For a more detailed list of events, visit
