EGMS Nordic team competes at Maloit Park

The EGMS Nordic team continued its season in a 3K classic race on Saturday, Feb. 4. The race featured a mass start with enough flats that a third of the course was double polling and steep, winding hills.

The EGMS girl’s and boy’s teams placed 3rd behind Summit and Vail Middle Schools.

Eighth-grader, Maggie Barker was the top finisher for the Cubs, finishing 10th. Elizabeth Hammond was right behind her in 14th. Ellen Osborne 21st, Maddie Ruttenberg 23rd,Annie Kuhns 25th, Ellie Holinka 33rd.

Eighth-grader Alex Holinka was top finisher for the boy’s, finishing 3rd. Guy Granger was 11th, Ethan Ruttenburg 15th, Will Kuhns 20th, Gray Barker 22nd , Ethan Callerman 24th.

Way to go all EGMS skiers!

EGMS will finish their season Saturday, Feb. 11, with a classic race at Frisco Nordic Center.
