Fishing Corner: Catch trout in spawning areas
Fishing Corner
The browns and brookies are spawning and still biting streamers in the rivers. The Kokanee in Grand Lake are hitting by the Adams Tunnel area. They are also starting to show up at Wolford by the dam and will hit jigs tipped with wax worms suspended under a bobber. They will also hit pink flies drifted by them in current areas. Please remember Shadow Mountain spillway is closed to fishing all the way down to Twin Creek until the first of the year. The lake trout are in their spawning areas and for the first time in months will be very catchable from the shore. Small white jigs tipped with a piece of sucker will get bites.
