The Colorado river in Rocky Mountain National Park is fishing very well for brookies; dry flies in the evening have been awesome. The Colorado and Fraser rivers are fishing very well with a hopper-dropper combo in the afternoons.

Area lakes are fishing well — lake trout continue to hit small jigs, power minnows or Gulp. Rainbows and browns are hitting small spoons near the shore in the evening. As the fish are rising cast your spoons to their ring. Powerbait along the lake shores has been catching lots of 12- to 14-inch rainbows. Grand lake is fishing very well for 15- to 20-inch lake trout along with an occasional large fish. Browns are still cruising the shorelines, crank baits are working well

Pike at Williams fork continue to hit topwater baits in the evening, 3-inch and 4-inch ripple shads on 3/8 oz jig heads are getting a few throughout the day.
