The 21st Annual Glenn F. Menhennett Memorial Golf Classic is scheduked to take place at Golf Granby Ranch on Sept. 19.

The tournament supports scholarships awarded to two graduating seniors in Grand County. Money raised for the scholarships are in memory of Glenn Menhennett, a graduate of Kremmling Union High School n 1941.

After high school, Glenn enlisted in the U.S. Navy and became a pilot, flying amphibious aircraft in the South Pacific during WW II. When the war ended he returned to the states and later graduated from the University of Notre Dame School of Law.

Established in 1990, the Glenn F. Menhennett Scholarships have been funded by this annual golf tournament, and the generosity of many businesses and individuals. To date there have been 40 scholarships awarded.

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged and due by Sept. 5, to secure your foursome! Cost per player is $100, with a 4-person scramble format. Team check in is between 9 and 9: 45 a.m.; tournament play begins at 10 a.m. Events are Closest to the Pin, Longest Putt, Men’s & Women’s Longest Drive and $25,000 Hole-in-One.
