Granby " Middle Park Middle School girls tear up the hardwood at 7-1

The seventh grade girls basketball team of East Grand Middle School in Granby has improved its season record to 7-1.

So far this season, the Lady Cubs have defeated Steamboat, Summit, Hayden, North Park, Clear Creek and West Grand.

The 2008 East Grand team consists of point guards Kayleigh Busse, Amelia Clancy, Joanna Eaton and Abby Wise.

The wing players are Gabriele Blahnik, Morgan Milstead, Kelly Allen and Marti Zolnir.

The team’s roster also includes Aimee Tollett, Maddie Lutz, Makenna Fair, Sheyenne Shuster and Kayla Pearman, who play the post position.

The Lady Cubs, who are led by coach Marc Loberg, will be playing on their home court in Granby against the Soroco Rams on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. They will then face a rematch with West Grand in another home game on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 4 p.m.
