The Second Annual Hot Sulphur Days Disc Golf Tournament on Saturday raised about $150 in registration funds for the Hot Sulphur Springs Volunteer Fire Department.Almost 30 players showed up for the tournament, which took place along the Colorado River in Pioneer Park, and only one player reported having to go in the drink for their disc while playing the basket par 55 course (at least they were rewarded (and somewhat refreshed) for their efforts by retrieving it).In the Pro category, Regan Fanning and Jeff Douglas tied for first and agreed to split the pot. Both shot -6, which won them $70 in cash each. Local musician Eric Oly Olson shot -1 to take third place and the $25 cash prize.Brothers A.J. and Adam Wix took the top spots in the Amateur Men category. A.J., who was also gearing up to celebrate his birthday the next day, shot -2 for first place and won a Trek helmet from Christy Sports. Adam scored -1 on the course for second place and won a $40 gift certificate from Liberty Auto. Jeremy McEwen shot par for third place and a $25 gift certificate from Budget Bait & Tackle.Jen Giacomini scored 62 in the Amateur Women category for first place and a $40 gift certificate from Ski Depot. Cyndi Palmer dried off from her dive into the river and came out of the course with a score of 63, earning her second place and a $30 gift certificate from Denos Bistro. Debbie Caulders score of 69 won her the third-place spot and a $20 gift certificate from the Java Lava Cafe. Thanks go out to V.J.
