Kremmling stages second gymkhana of season on Saturday

If youre looking for a fun challenge on horseback, enter the Bits N Spurs Gymkhanas in Kremmling this summer.Gymkhana, which is games on horseback, is open to all ages. This years series of competitions, which will continue through August, are being held at the fairgrounds.The annual Bits N Spurs Gymkhanas offer horse-related games including barrels, poles, key and other fun events. These low-key, family-oriented competitions regularly have riders ranging in age from 3 to 65 participating. The annual Bits N Spurs Gymkhanas depend on sponsorships and grants from the Grand Foundation and Lions Club as well as the generosity of local citizens.The first gymkhana of the 2008 series was held Saturday, June 7. Another one will be held this Saturday starting at 10 a.m. at the Kremmling fairgrounds. The schedule for the rest of the Bits N Spurs Gymkhanas this summer is: July 12, 19 and 26; and August 16 and 23. Starting time for all of the Saturday gymkhanas is 10 a.m.Entry fees are $2 per class.
