Lady Panthers split basketball contests

On Thursday, Jan. 13, the Lady Panthers faced Pinnacle at home. It was a fast paced game with both teams playing strong pressure defense. The Panthers played head to head with Pinnacle for the first 2 – quarters and then Pinnacle started pulling away. The Lady Panthers fought hard but could never get back in the game. Final score 63-42. Top individual performances for the Panthers included; Justine Bickler with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Moreya Gardner added 8 rebounds, 8 points and 2 steals. McCall Linke fought hard on the boards pulling down 9 rebounds and one block.

Next the Panthers traveled to Platte Canyon. It was a great performance by the entire squad. The Panthers were very committed to their game strategy with everyone playing strong defense and setting the game tempo. They jumped out to a 6 point lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. The final score Panthers 49 and the Platte Canyon Huskies 31. Delaney Tucker put in her best performance of the season leading the Panthers with 14 points followed by Quincey Pedersen adding 12 points. McCall Linke ripped down 6 rebounds along with 4 steals.
