Middle Park soccer outscores foes 17-2 in three games
The Middle Park boys soccer team remains unbeaten with a 5-0 record following three decisive victories last week.
The week started with a 6-2 decision over DSST Montview on Wednesday, highlighted by senior Jaime Rios and sophomore Adrian Rios both scoring goals and junior Gustavo Galaviz recording four goals of his own.
On Friday, Middle Park faced its toughest competition yet when the team took on Colorado Rocky Mountain School, ranked No. 1 in Class 2A.
In that game, Jaime Rios scored once and Gustavo Galaviz had two goals to propel the Panthers to a 3-0 victory behind a stanch defensive effort.
On Saturday, the Panthers logged another shutout victory by defeatingNederland 8-0 with Adrian Rios scoring two goals while Jaime Rios, Gustavo Galaviz, senior Jack Orear, senior Aidan Carver, senior Akram Hanna and junior Mason Chamberlin each had one.
The Panthers have two important home games this week when they face K.I.P.P. at 4 p.m. Wednesday and Atlas Prep on at 3 p.m. Friday, both of which are also undefeated.
