Best Ball tournament
On Thursday Aug. 1, the Pole Creek Ladies Golf league played a two-person Best Ball Tournament. The best net ball of the two was recorded for each hole and then totaled at the end of the 18 holes. The winning teams were: 1st Place Team, Maggy Helm and Sandy Williams 56; 2nd Place Team, Betty Williams and Kate LaBelle 57; 3rd Place Team; Cindy Moynahan and Jan Boynton 59
Low putts was won by Linda Moore with 27. Jeanne Anne MacDonald, Darlene Carter, Kate LaBelle, Michelle DeFrange and Janet Conneely all chipped in.
Christmas in July
On Thursday July 25th the Pole Creek Ladies League played their Christmas in July Tournament. The Ladies were able to take their 3 worse holes and convert them back to par, and subtract their entire handicap. The winners were:1st Place Tie} Joanne Foster 60; Jeanne Anne MacDonald 60; 2nd Place Stacy Hoffer 61; 3rd Place Cindy Moynahan 63; 4th Place Tie} Julie Richards 64; Maggy Helm 64. Low Putts was won by Maggy Helm and Cindy Moynahan with 29. Darlene Carter and Cathy Malone shared the chip in pot.
