Pole Creek Ladies golf scores in recent tournaments


On Thursday Aug. 29, the Pole Creek Ladies golf league played a Step Aside Scramble. Each team picked the best drive. The person whose drive was selected stepped aside (did not hit). That format was played until they reached the green where all four people were able to putt. The winning teams were:1st Place, Linda Moore, Karen Newton, Beth Daniel, Sharon Fender; 2nd Place, Michelle DeFrange, Carol Stott, Julie Sawyer, Sandy Williams; 3rd Place, Cindy Moynahan, Betty Williams, Jeanne Anne MacDonald, Loretta McLaughlin.

The Hate’em tournament on Thursday, Sept. 5 had the ladies mark par on their score cards on three of the holes they hated, before they played their round. The winners were: Low Gross, 1st Place Pat Riddell 76; 2nd Place (tie) Susie Noel 87, Karen Newton 87; 3rd Place (tie) Maggy Helm 89, Linda Moore 89. Low Net, 1st Place Carol Stott 66; 2nd Place Norma Colosimo 62; 3rd Place Beth Daniel 63. Closest to the Pin contests winners were: Ranch No. 2 Gigi Dominguez and Helen Brown and Ranch No. 7 Beth Daniel. Pat Riddell had the fewest putts.

The rainy weather didn’t stop the Pole Creek Ladies golf league from playing their mystery holes tournament on Thursday, Sept. 12. At the end of their round, the pro shop picked the nine holes that they added for their score for the tournament. The winners were: Low Gross, 1st Place Susie Noel 40; 2nd Place Cindy Moynahan 44; 3rd Place (tie) Julie Richards 46; Linda Moore 46. Low Net, 1st Place Cathy Malone 32.5; 2nd Place Jeanne Anne MacDonald 33; 3rd Place Madeline Stevens 35.
