Sky-Hi News Staff

Grand County is once again on the route for the USA PRO Cycle Challenge. That’s the good news.

The bad news is that motorists in the affected part of the county can expect delays of up to five hours, according to Grand County officials.

Grand County is on the Stage 2 route for Tuesday, Aug. 18, Steamboat Springs to Arapahoe Basin. The stage begins at 10:50 a.m. and ends from 3:45-4 p.m.

In Grand County, traffic impacts are expected on highways US 40, SH 9 and SH 134, as well as Grand County Road 3. Competitors will be traveling eastbound on Highway 40 through Kremmling to Parshall and over County Road 3.

“If you are traveling this day, please expect up to five-hour delays,” according to a statement released by Grand County.
