Snyder wins Grand Lake Women’s Golf Championship

The second day of the two-day Grand Lake Women’s Golf Club Championship Event took place on Tuesday, Aug. 20. After 36 holes of golf, Pat Snyder earned the title of Club Champion with a combined gross score of 187. Kathy Chandler took second place with a combined gross score of 200, followed by Laura Summers in third with a combined gross score of 203. The 2013 President’s Cup winner is Phyllis Stephens with a Net score of 143, followed by Connie Graham, net score 149 and Peg Toft in third with a combined net score of 151. Four birdies were recorded. Pat Snyder had 2 birdies, on hole No. 10 and hole No. 16. Laura Summers had one birdie on hole No. 11 and Phyllis Stephens chipped in from the bunker on hole No. 7 to record a birdie.
The Nifty Niners played nine holes using scores from only par 3’s and par 4’s, Jane Howell took first place, followed by Jennie Negri in second and in a 3-way tie for third were Carol Elmore, Lucette Kottcamp and Lynn Turnquist. Lynn Turnquist took home honors in lowest putts of the day while Gladys Howard scored a chip in on hole No. 4.
