State wrestling update: MP’s Visconti advances to semifinal

DENVER—Middle Park’s Adam Visconti won his 152-pound quarterfinal match at the Colorado State High School Wrestling Championships on Friday morning, Feb. 21, at the Pepsi Center in Denver. Visconti defeated Nate Henry of Alamosa 11-2 to advance to this evening’s semifinal where he face Elias Altimarano of La Junta.
Middle Park’s Justin Halley lost in the first round of the consolation bracket ending his state tournament. Halley was pinned by Dorian Richard of Valley at 0:53.
West Grand’s Travis Etler also lost in the first round of the consolation bracket. Etler was pinned in 0:40 by Nicholas Belcher of Hanover.
