The Colorado river in Rocky Mountain National Park is fishing very well for brookies. Dry flies in the evening have been awesome. The Colorado is fishing very well with a hopper dropper combo in the afternoons.

Area lakes are fishing very good as lake trout continue to hit small jigs, power minnows. Gulp produced very well last week. Rainbows and Browns are hitting small spoons near the shore in the evening. As the fish are rising cast your spoons to their ring. Powerbait along the lake shores have been catching lots of 12-14” rainbows. Grand lake is fishing very well for 15-20” lake trout along with an occasional large fish.

Pike at Williams fork continue to hit topwater baits in the evening, 3&4” ripple shads on 3/8 oz jig heads are getting a few throughout the day. Trollers are catching a few rainbows and browns long lining small crank baits over deep water and lake trout 60-80 feet deep with silver and gold spoons.
