Trail of the Week: Rogers Pass

Rogers Pass is a scenic 2.3-mile (one way) hiking trail located in the James Peak Protection area. The trailhead is located off the historic Corona (Rollins) Pass Road, right across from the old Rifle-Sight train trestle (pictured). Rogers Pass Trail is a high elevation trail starting at 11,000 feet reaching the top of James Peak above 13,000 feet. This remarkable trail is in need of an adopter that likes to hike the high vistas and would like to help take care of this historic area. Contact Erica Bean, Adopt a Trail Coordinator for Headwaters Trails Alliance, for more information on adopting a trail such as Rogers Pass. or 970-726-1013
