Winter Park girls finish strong at Rocky Mountain Freestyle Divisional Championship

Just like the boys, on Feb. 26-28, Winter Park girls had a strong finish at the Rocky Mountain Freestyle Divisional Championship.

This year, the Championship was held in Winter Park. Skiers, levels J3 and up from the entire Rocky Mountain region competed for three grueling days.

Posting the fastest times of the girls, Larissa Burg ripped the moguls, scoring 1st and then 2nd. Alyssa Lawson was on her game with a big Bronco to place 2nd, 3rd, and then 2nd, on day three.

Overall results of local female athletes that placed in the Rocky Mountain Divisional Championship were:

Alyssa and Larissa, along with Brandon Cronin and Brandon Goldenberg, will be representing Winter Park at the US National Championships this weekend at Squaw Valley, Calif.
