Spring Mountain Veggie Gardening Classes

The Grand County Master Gardener Volunteers, along with the Grand Community Garden Organization, is hosting two spring gardening classes for vegetable gardening in Grand County.

The classes are scheduled for 2-4:30 p.m. April 29 and May 6 at the Mountain Parks Electric Community Room, 321 West Agate Avenue, Granby. Come learn the basics of successful vegetable gardening in Grand County’ challenging environment.

Session 1, April 29

Topics: Soils, amendments, fertilizers, crops we can grow, seed selection and transplants.

Session 2, May 6

Topics: Garden design, layout, succession planting, companion planting, proper watering and feeding.
