Sprout Foundation Fund, a fund of the Grand Foundation, announces its second round of grants
The Grand Foundation has announced its second round of grants awarded from the Sprout Foundation Fund.The Sprout Foundation Fund, a fund of the Grand Foundation, was created to help support nonprofits whose focus is on youth and/or environment. This Donor Advised Fund was established through a generous donation from the Sprout Foundation. Nonprofit fundraising has been especially challenging the past two years, not only in Grand County but across the country. With the creation of the Sprout Foundation Fund, the Grand Foundation has been able to award more than $1.3 million to-date from this fund.”This would not be a reality for our community without the generous support of the Sprout Foundation and Bob and Suzanne Fanch,” according to Grand Foundation Board and staff.The Sprout Foundation Fund’s Jan. 1, 2011, grant recipients from the last round of applicants will be announced as they are awarded.The Grand Foundation is committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents and guests in Grand County. Over the last 14 years, the Grand Foundation has granted nearly $1.7 million to local organizations through its Annual Grants Program.Including the foundation’s Donor Advised Funds, more than $4 million dollars has been distributed to various Grand County organizations.
