Steve Radcliffe to be awarded 2011 Michael Muftic Service Above Self Award

Winter Park/ Fraser Valley Rotary club will honor Steve Radcliffe, this year’s winner of the Michael Muftic Service Above Self award, on Wednesday, April 20, at Devil’s Thumb Ranch.
The Service Above Self award is based on giving back to the community and is chosen by a committee of past recipients including Michael Muftic, Ron Nelson, Mark Johnson, Kirk Klancke and Lorline Underbrink Curran.
This year, Radcliffe is recognized for his quiet and selfless work that has improved the lives of many in the community. Among many other things, Radcliffe is honored for his work with the Grand County Advocates, teaching at the Fraser Valley Elementary School and his work toward resolving the school funding issue.
Prior to coming to Fraser, Radcliffe served as President of One America Life Insurance Company, as president of the Indianapolis Humane Society and on the boards of the Eitlejong Museum, the Indianapolis Museum of Art and as president of the National Society of Actuaries.
The awards banquet and celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m. and the presentation at 7 p.m. In addition to honoring Radcliffe, the club will also enjoy fellowship and a presentation from a visiting Rotary Group Study Exchange Team from southern India.
