Support for East Grand Middle School was gratifying

To the Editor:

WOW. What a turnout and how fabulous were all the restaurants that provided donations to the Back to School Night for the students and their families of East Grand Middle School and the faculty.

I am happy to say we successfully fed everyone that came through the door. It was a true culinary delight, from Cajun to Italian; Chinese to Mexican, crock pots of soup and subs as well. There was enough choice to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters and the desserts table was just as tasty too.

This is the only real big fundraiser for the students, faculty and parents of East Grand Middle School. The proceeds of this annual fundraiser help to offset the cost of field trips, school supplies and many other essentials needed throughout the academic year.

This event has always been a great way of sharing a meal and being thankful for all those around us but even more bittersweet now. As we all know been a tremendously difficult year for many business owners and families and we are so appreciative of the help.

Thank you everyone who supported this event for another year: The Parent Advisory Committee of East Grand Middle School (EGMS PAC), Deno’s Mountain Bistro, Sagebrush BBQ and Grill, Subway, Pearl Dragon, Pizza Hut, Caroline’s Cuisine, Fontenot’s, Sysco Foods, Hernando’s, Frito Lay, Safeway, Granby Dairy, Crooked Creek, City Market, Pancho’s and Lefty’s, Mad Munchies, Java Lava, Ian’s Bakery and 7 Trails Grille.
