Suspects accused of tampering with murder-suicide scene due in Grand County Court

Jerod Morris Reeves, 29, and Kimberly Mae McCaffery, 35, who are suspected of stealing evidence from a murder-suicide crime scene near Kremmling, are scheduled to appear today in Grand County Court.
At the 1 p.m. hearing, the two suspects, both of Craig, will be advised about the arrest warrant and potential charges. Prosecutors have three days to file final charges.
Bond and a restraining order will be set at the hearing. The suspects will be arraigned together; however it has not been determined if they will be tried together, according to Deputy District Attorney Heather Shwayder-Hughes.
Reeves and McCaffrey arrived from Spokane County Jail on Friday, Jan. 6, and are being held in the Grand County Jail.
Arrest warrants were issued out of District Court in Grand County for Reeves and McCaffery on Wednesday, Dec. 21, for the crimes of tampering with physical evidence, criminal possession of a financial device, first degree criminal trespass and abuse of a corpse, as well as warrants from federal court in Denver.
