Suthers, Garnett, hold first Colorado attorney general debate
DENVER (AP) – Colorado’s candidates for attorney general are set to debate at the University of Denver.
Republican incumbent John Suthers is facing a re-election challenge from Democratic Boulder District Attorney Stan Garnett.
Suthers was appointed attorney general in 2005 and then elected in 2006. Garnett began serving his term as Boulder County’s top prosecutor on January 2009.
The debate will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law. It will be the candidates’ first debate and will be recorded for broadcast around the state during the campaign.
