Ted Mackley

Ted Mackley, a former resident of Grand County, died at his home in Lawton, Okla. on Dec. 11, 2007.

Mr. Mackley was born in Ault, Colo. to George and Doris Mackley on Jan. 18, 1933.

He was a graduate of Middle Park Union High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was in the retail business in Oklahoma until his retirement. He volunteered as a reading aide at Park Lane Elementary School in Lawton and played games at the Lawton Senior Citizen Centers. He was a member of the Western Hills

Christian Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Terry Terry and Sherry Huber, both of Lawton; a grandson, Travis Huber; a granddaughter, Shyla Wilhite; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Wilhite; a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne Mackley and Louanne of Houston, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna Hahn and Dan, of Granby, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Doris Mackley, and a son-in-law, Royce Huber.

A memorial service was held for Mr. Mackley on Dec. 14 at the Western Hills Christian Church in Lawton, Okla. Memorial contributions may be made to Western Hills Christian Church, 1401 NW 82nd St., Lawton, OK 73505.
