Television film crews to follow Grand County deputies

The Grand County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) is headed to the small screen.

Film crews from a national television channel will soon be in Grand County filming the GCSO as they keep the peace during the cold winter months.

Grand County Undersheriff John Stein confirmed film crews will soon be working directly with department deputies as they crisscross the snow covered terrain of the high country.

The name of the channel the program is being filmed for is not being released at this time. There is also little information available regarding the format, content or length of the program beyond the fact that film crews will be working with the GCSO.

Undersheriff Stein explained there is an official press release still being reviewed by the legal department of the unnamed television channel that he expects to be released to the public sometime soon.

“This is a way for us to show off our local community, our natural resources and assets,” said Stein.
