Thanks to all who helped make Granby’s 9Heath Fair a great success
April 28, 2009
To the Editor:
I’m writing this letter to thank all the participants and volunteers who were at the Granby 9Health Fair that took place in Granby on Saturday, April 18.
Despite a snowstorm that closed the pass and dumped many inches of snow in Grand County, we still managed to have a near-record turnout (527 at last count) at the health fair. That includes more than 100 people who pre-registered online. My hat’s off to all those people who care enough about their health to take advantage of such an excellent and affordable opportunity to monitor their health. Thanks for coming.
The volunteers who worked at the fair also deserve praise and thanks. From the people who were drawing blood, members of the medical community who provided the screenings, to the people who helped set up and clean up, thank you.
Members of the Granby Rotary Club and Grand County EMS did a stellar job, although there were others who were instrumental, including staff and the custodians and others at Granby Elementary School, where the health fair took place. You all made this year’s health fair a great success.
Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you again next year.
