Sky-Hi staff report

High schoolers from Granby pose with Congressman Wayne Aspinall in the hearing room of the House Interior and Insular Affairs Committee in Washington, D.C. Aspinall is chairman of the committee. The group had just received a 20-minute talk from Aspinall in which he explained the operation of the committee system in Congress. He told the students about each of the flags pictured above, which are the flags of the off-shore possessions of the United States and the Trust Territories, all of which are under the legislative jurisdiction of the committee. It was a busy day for the congressman. Immediately following the picture taking, the interior committee met in this chamber and reported the Colorado River Legislation.
