Kicking it to Cancer

Brendan McGrath for team Townies at the Kicking It to Cancer kickball tournament on Monday, September 5. The fundraiser raised over $40,000 at the Fraser Sports Complex, and it may be even more after a match from the Encana Corporation, said Megan Ledin from the Grand Foundation. Over 400 people attended the event. Mountain Family Center in Granby will receive a portion of the proceeds that will assist cancer patients. Grand County residents can apply for grants to help with travel cost for cancer treatments.
