On behalf of the Grand County Veterans Affairs Office, I would like to thank all of those generous Grand County community members who made the Annual Veterans’ Appreciation Dinner, held on April 25, at the CSU Extension Hall, a success.
This annual gathering, simply and respectfully thanked some 200 of the estimated 1700 plus United States military veterans that reside here in Grand County. Those brave and dedicated men and women who left their home, each and everyone an American Hero.
A few of the community members that took time out of there day to make this a special event that I would like to render appreciation to are: Dave, Leslie Jones, Nancy Franz, Jason, Holly Stiegers, Jeremy, Kendra Bock, Anthony Duddleson, Merrit Linke, Mike Jolovich and Ranch Creek LTD, Dave, Karen Hammer and employess of Kremmling Mercantile, employees of Moose Café, Delores, Peter the Painter Esmond, Dave Hanks, Pete Gunderson, Caroline Smith, Caitlyn Taussig, Travis Hoesli, Wendy Wyatt. To Juliet Shams thanks for your beautiful voice and presentation of God Bless America and The Star Spangled Banner.
Most importantly thanks to all Veterans who attended and those who were unable to attend this very special event, and thank you each and everyone for your service to this great country.
