Toys and gift cards will be accepted until Monday, Dec. 9, for a local toy drive in honor of Robbie Butler, a five-year-old Granby boy who passed away from a rare cancer in 2017.
The drive is part of the 16th Annual Joe Bumberger Long Blue Line Cops Fighting Cancer Mission, which provides individualized financial support to families.
The items collected throughout Grand County will be handed out by the Butler family along with the Grand County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, Dec. 13 to Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora.
“A little consideration, a little though for others, makes all the difference,” said the Butler family. “Robbie’s heart was always fullest when bringing joy into another person’s life.”
Toy items can be dropped off at participating locations across the county including the sheriff’s office, Grand County Administration Building in Hot Sulphur Springs, Murdoch’s Home and Ranch Supply in Fraser, the Kremmling Chamber of Commerce, Northwest Ranch and Supply in Kremmling, Bear Dance Spas in Fraser, Kopy Kat in Granby, Sky-Hi News in Granby, Grand Lake Town Hall, the Winter Park & Fraser Police Department in Winter Park, Fireside Market and Eatery in Winter Park, Salon 401 in Winter Park, City Market in Granby, Safeway in Fraser and Java Lava in Granby.
If donating gift cards, contact the sheriff’s office at (970) 725-3343 to drop it off.
