UPDATED: Trail Ridge Road to stay closed Friday due to poor conditions
Byron Hetzler | Sky-Hi News
Trail Ridge Road is temporarily closed today due to poor conditions, according to Rocky Mountain National Park officials.
The road is currently closed at Rainbow Curve, on the east side, and Milner Pass, on the west side. According to the park, the road will not reopen Friday due to the forecast for precipitation and freezing temperatures tonight.
The current forecast is for rain, snow and freezing temperatures at higher elevations throughout the weekend.
The road will reopen this weekend if conditions allow.
You can call the recorded Trail Ridge Road status line anytime at 970-586-1222 for updates on the road’s status.
