United States is in for a ‘rough four years’

To the Editor:

I have never seen a mess like we have in our country today. Gov. Bagoyevich about to be indicted. Gov. Richardson probably in the same boat. A senator denied his seat by the Senate majority leader who obviously does not know his own rules. If it wasn’t such a disaster it would be funny. It says very little for the integrity of our leaders. I do think we are in for a rough four years.

Did I mention all of the people mentioned are Democrats?

The real kicker is Leon Panetta being named director of the CIA. Panetta, an outspoken critic of tough interrogation tactics, has absolutely no experience in the intelligence field.

Doing away with rendition, water boarding and other tough interrogation techniques will add up to only one thing: more dead Americans.

We are dealing with an enemy who puts little or no value on human life. The extremist Muslims would see us all dead. These people are fanatics. What also bothers me is the fact that the so-called moderate Muslims are silent on all of the issues. I wonder if push came to shove what side they would take.
