UPDATE: Grand County’s medical marijuana measure squeaks by

At 1 a.m., Nov. 3,, with 100 percent of precincts reporting (6,612 voters), Grand County voters appear to have approved medical marijuana centers for the county and the Town of Fraser while rejecting them for Hot Sulphur Springs and Granby.

The county-wide measure received 3,043 votes (48.7%) in favor of prohibiting medical marijuana centers and 3,201 votes (51.3%) to allow them. The measure to prohibit the centers appears to have been defeated by 158 votes.

In Fraser, 109 people voted in favor of prohibiting medical marijuana centers and 250 people voted in favor of allowing them. A measure to tax medical marijuana also passed 229-120.



About 148 votes have yet to be counted, either because they lacked signatures or because they were cast as provisional votes. These will be counted on Nov. 15.
