Update: Traffic moving on US 40 near Granby, no major injuries

Traffic on US Highway 40 near Granby is flowing again. A 5-car accident about 500 yards west of the entrance to Snow Mountain Ranch, stopped busy Friday afternoon traffic around 4 p.m.

At 4:35 p.m. one lane of alternating traffic was open. Early reports indicated there were no major injuries and no one was transported by EMS. Multiple tow truck companies were called to scene, said Grand County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer, Lt. Dan Mayer.

The cause of the accident is still unknown.

More information on this accident will be reported on Monday.
