FRASER – Wouldn’t it be great if all hikes could end in a tap room featuring a brand new beer as well as traditional favorites?

To celebrate the launch of Upslope Brewing Co’s new beer, the Spruce Tip IPA, they will be hosting the 4th annual Backcountry Tap Room experience in Grand Park starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday Oct. 6.

Just like previous Backcountry Tap Rooms held by the Boulder brewery, participants won’t just be given a taste of the new IPA, they will have to hike about 2.5 miles to the top of Grand Park where the pop-up tap room will be set up.

Upslope’s event page claims it will be well worth the effort since the new brew “pairs perfectly with a fall day and some sweet views.” The Spruce Tip IPA is a limited-edition, winter seasonal release.

“These hidden gems reward those willing to sweat their way to a cold refreshing beer, by giving them a beer worth sweating for,” touts Upslope’s event page.

Tickets are $15 and include four drink tickets, one for the new IPA and three for year-round brews. Non-drinkers and children are free. All proceeds will be donated to the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics and their 2019 Colorado Hot Spots program.

The event is one day only and ends at 4:30 p.m.
