US 40 by Fraser open again after Thursday wreck

10:54 a.m. update: Both lanes have reopened to drivers.

10 a.m. update: Eastbound Highway 40 is now open.

A Thursday morning car wreck west of Fraser temporarily closed US Highway 40 at County Road 5.

Fraser Winter Park Police alerted motorists to the closure just after 9 a.m. Emergency radio traffic indicated there were injuries associated with the wreck, though the extent of those injuries was not immediately clear.

Westbound US Hwy 40 is temporarily closed at County Road 5 due to an accident on the Fraser Flats. Expect delays. Alternate Route is CR 5.
