This year’s National Public Lands Day saw a number of volunteers show up to help clean up and improve trails and public lands throughout Grand County.

Some of the projects completed include the improvement of the Blizzard off highway vehicle trail near Grand Lake, rerouting of a portion of the Colorado River Trail near Shadow Mountain Reservoir, trash cleanup along the Vasquez Creek Trail, trash cleanup along the upper Colorado River, and the construction of new non-motorized trail in the Idlewild Trail System east of Winter Park.

See the attached video for some of the pre-work camaraderie on Saturday, Sept. 28.
