Volunteers made Granby Fourth of July Parade a big hit
August 12, 2009
To the Editor:
Granby’s Fourth of July Parade was once again a huge success, in no small part due to the large number of volunteers who helped with preparation, logistics, crowd control, safety, line-up, and set up and tear down of the signs, tents, etc.
Please help me in thanking those who gave up a portion of their July 4th holiday to help make this the biggest small town parade in Colorado:
Kim and Rob Burner, Laurie and Alan Findley, Steve Brenner, Frank DeLay, Tom Sifers, Rhonda Bromberg, Caren Welcome, Sharon and Bill Spurlin and Family, Walt Kirkwood, Pat Vigil, The Granby Police Department, EAA, Granby Fire Department, Town of Granby Street Department, Mark Bujanovich, Patty and Terry Peterson and Family, Sheri Lock, Town of Granby Parks Department.
A special thanks to Eunice Marte for agreeing to be our Parade Marshal and representing our many residents who are related to our Grand County Pioneers.
And of course, we offer up a chorus of cheers to all of you who participated in the parade this year to make it another successful event that would make our forefathers proud.
Without all these volunteers we would not be able to host such a spectacular event. Thank you again to all who helped make this the biggest small town parade in Colorado.
